If you would like to nominate a deserving alumna/us for various recognition awards, please fill out the Recognition Award Nomination Form. Miami Law’s Alumni Association will thoughtfully consider each nomination. Recipients are selected by the Executive Committee of the Law Alumni Association and awards will be presented during local or regional alumni events.
Past Law Alumni Award Recipients
Alumnus/a of Distinction
This award is presented to a distinguished alumnus/a who brings honor and recognition to the University of Miami School of Law for a lifetime of outstanding personal or professional achievement.
*The award may not be presented to active members of the judiciary, nor may it be awarded posthumously.
Alumni Achievement Award
This award recognizes alumni nationally who have excelled in their chosen profession and in service to the University of Miami School of Law and the legal profession. Members of the Law Alumni Association nationally can also submit nominations for this award.
Alumni Leadership Award
This award was instituted during the presidency of Alvin Lindsay and recognizes excellence, but specifically in the area of leadership. The award often recognizes bar leaders or directors and presidents of service organizations. Members of the Law Alumni Association nationally can also submit nominations for this award.
